This Advent I had the opportunity to create original artwork for the Embodying Advent series. With a theme of embodiment, it seemed appropriate to take a hands-on rather than digital approach. I ultimately decided to use cut paper and collage to make these pieces that I then digitally assembled. I watched the videos and spent time flipping through magazines (Magnolia Journal is my favorite source) pulling words associated with Advent and images with strong colors and textures. Images of things that you can see, feel, and taste seemed appropriate as we talk about embodiment.  In my process pictures you can see the words I chose and some of what went into the making.
