Fundraising for New Projectors and Screens

The congregation recently had the opportunity to see a comparison of a laser projector to our current one presented by our vendor, The Sound of Music. The industry standard for projectors is five to ten years and these have served in the Great Room for about 17 years. The differences between the newer technology and older projectors were striking. The laser projector provides more vivid colors, sharper images, clearer text, widescreen format, and a brighter display. New, larger screens are also part of this project. We will see a difference not only in the size, but they will also further enhance the images from the new projectors because of improved screen technology. This project will provide enhanced visuals for our worship services, LUM, Boy Scouts and others who use this space.
The cost of the new projectors, screens, and installation is about $45,000. The Operational Management Team has approved moving ahead with fundraising for this project. Donations to the “Great Room Projection System Upgrade” fund will help offset the one-time cost for this project.
