Lenten Studies
February 2, 2026

We are just a few short weeks from the beginning of Lent, the season of reflection and spiritual discipline leading up to Easter. We are offering two different Lenten studies this year.
Know and Grow, an established class that enjoys welcoming new people, will be using An Unlikely Lent by Rachel Billups for our discussions. We show a video lesson then discuss it each week, so no outside preparation or registration is needed. Know and Grow meets in Room 2 during the Sunday Connection at 9:30 am each Sunday, with our Lenten Study beginning February 22.
Pastor Wellington is leading a study on Tuesdays beginning February 24, with a choice of a 1:00 pm or 7:00 pm meeting time. This Lenten Study is an invitation for us to walk alongside radical Jesus - the one who not only taught but embodied the vision of a more just and equal world. This study will be based on the book, Turning Over Tables: A Lenten Call for Disrupting Power by Kathy Escobar, but no outside reading is necessary. Registration is helpful for planning purposes, but not required. If you would like a book (optional), please indicate that when you sign up for the class. The cost of books is $17 and donations are welcome. Childcare is available for the evening meeting by contacting Danielle by February 17.
