Jubilee Christmas is a program coordinated by LUM in partnership with local churches and organizations to assist the unemployed, under-employed, single parent families, and others in need to make the parents the heroes at Christmas. During these challenging financial times, as you can imagine, the need in our community is great. LUM has 546 families registered with 1,518 children and 294 teens. As Jubilee approaches, LUM will add another 90 families through its Jubilee Part 2 and Part 3 programs.

With your help, St. Andrew will support 25 families (52 children 0-12 years, 13 teens) on December 9.

Each family receives 3 toys per child and gift certificates as well as stocking stuffers per LUM guidelines.

St. Andrew traditionally adds to those items and will provide an additional gift card so that families can purchase what they need. We also provide cookies, a gas card (if money allows), something extra for teens, a hand-made afghan and centerpiece, hats, mitten/gloves, and books for each child.

What we need for this year's Jubliee Christmas:

There is a tree in the Commons at St. Andrew with gift tags where you can select the ages and genders of the children for whom you would like to purchase a $25-$30 gift. Please bring toys (unwrapped and with two sets of batteries) to the church by Tuesday, December 5. It is helpful if you attach the tag with the gender/age on it. You can drop toys off at the church during regular office hours or on Sunday mornings.

Donations of the following items are also welcome:

  • Wrapping supplies
  • Hats and mitten/gloves
  • Books (new, for ages 0-12 primarily, but teen books welcome as well)
  • Stocking stuffers
  • Cookies (sign-up)
  • Monetary gifts
    • Financial contributions can be placed in the offering plate, dropped off in the church office, or made on St. Andrew’s online giving page. Be sure to note “Jubilee Christmas” on your check or giving envelope. Please know that all toys and donations received will be distributed to families in need this year. Any excess funds will be split between LUM’s Good Samaritan Fund and St. Andrew’s Pastors' Assistance Fund.

Please surround the 25 Jubilee families that we are serving this year and all of the Jubilee volunteers with your prayers. Families will have the opportunity to share specific prayer requests when they attend Jubilee Christmas and those will be shared with the St. Andrew Prayer Team.
